The year 2010 saw the arrival of one of the most waited series of BMW, that is, the BMW X series and to begin with the company launched its BMW X1 which appears to be very promising and versatile. The engine of the car appears to be strong as an ox! The engine being located in the front provides the perfect balance to the car. The engine capacity is available with four cylinders and the induction comes with an option of either turbocharged or turbocharged with variable intake geometry to provide better control over the car’s performance. The car has a displacement of 1995cc |121.7 cu in. | 2.0L.

Mileage and Average:  

most of the times it has been observed that the problem with SUV’s are that they are not fuel efficient and consume a lot of fuel which makes it expensive for the owner. Luckily, this beauty has dual features of diesel and petrol segments. On an average basis this car provides a mileage of 15.24 km/litre, which is very impressive.

Power: 

SUVs are known for their power and in the present context, it is all about power. The car has a horsepower of 177BHP (130.272 KW) @ 4000 RPM, the torque of the car stands at 350 Nm. The car can reach a speed from zero to 100 km/hr in just 8.3 seconds.

Exterior Appearance: 

The car looks like a muscular bull from outside. The design of the car came from the inspiration of sedan whereas it has all the features of an ideal SUV. The kidney grill makes the car look awesome from the front view with front log lamps which are round shaped, along with halogen headlights and vertical black slats. It has a 17 inch alloy wheels with a rear spoiler which has a LED brake light.

Interior: 

The interiors have been taken into consideration with respect to comfort. The word stylish is perfect to describe the interiors as it comes with a firm leather finish on the seats. The steering wheel also has a firm leather grip along with the seats which can manually be adjusted for position and height. The boot space is enormous which provide the flexibility to increase the space in the car. The audio system and the electronically adjustable rear view glasses are just amazing.

Safety & Breaking Handling: 

Handling of the car has to be good when it coming from the BMW company. The airbags in the car are present for both the driver and the other person sitting besides; apart from this the fuel protection system is also a new addition to the car. The braking system of the car works on the Dynamic stability concept (DSC) which takes into account various motion theory to reduce the disturbances while breaking down the speed.

Pros: 

The best thing about the car is its price. The car is in the range of Rs 22 lakhs to 30 lakhs which makes it cheaper for people and that too with a BMW logo.

Cons: 

The car is good but the mileage seems to be a problem and added to it, GPS navigation system would have been a pleasant surprise.
